Position
Sr. Systems Technician - Data Center - Tukwila, WA

Objective
Under minimal supervision, performs daily tasks assigned to the Customer Operations team in support of the iSeries, Windows Server and Citrix computing platforms, iSeries and Intel based server hardware, local area network, and data center facilities. Mentors and provides technical leadership to less experienced System Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field desired.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant IT experience.
  • Must have the following certifications or equivalent in experience:
  • Comptia A+ certified
  • Comptia Server+ certified
  • Comptia Network+ certified
  • IBM xSeries Warranty Service Provider
  • IBM Certified Specialist (AS/400 Associate System Provider
  • Current top-tier server, desktop and laptop hardware assembly and support experience
  • Microsoft Office Professional (2003 & 2007), Windows Server (2000 & 2003), Windows XP and Vista installation and support experience
  • Practical experience managing and supporting iSeries technologies including, batch management, job scheduling and submission, BRMS administration, job monitoring and log analysis
  • Practical experience implementing and supporting core Windows networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP and Ethernet networking fundamentals
  • Experience utilizing and/or administrating tools and utilities including antivirus, monitoring & management and backup software suites in large enterprise environments
  • Experience leading and supporting a technical team
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Oracle, Linux, and EnterpriseOne exposure desirable
  • VMware certification desirable
  • Ability to work nonstandard hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
