WTS Announces Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Services for JD Edwards Customers

Seattle, WA and Denver, CO – 11/06/07 – WTS, Inc., the leader in application hosting for Oracle’s JD Edwards enterprise software, announced their newly expanded Managed Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity service. These services are available for all Oracle customers who use JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or JD Edwards World software. WTS' managed services are designed to ensure that organizations can recover their business critical systems quickly, with minimal interruption to their organization and operations. Richard Dolewski, a globally recognized Business Continuity expert, is leading WTS' Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity practice.

Working with a managed recovery services provider to execute a disaster recovery plan can be valuable to any business who has limited funding, scarce capital resources or staffing constraints. A solution from WTS ensures the recovery process is started on a timely basis by some of the best JD Edwards resources in the industry, ensuring the organization meets their recovery objectives.

“Whether it's the failure of critical hardware or a catastrophic disaster such as Hurricane Katrina, the impact from unplanned outages is a financial risk most organizations don't have to take," said Richard Dolewski. "With WTS' Managed Disaster Recovery services, we are partnering with our customer's IT departments to ensure a timely recovery allowing them to focus on their core competencies. Our solution provides assurance that our customer's systems are being recovered by experts who understand their systems and the critical business needs they serve. With our extensive experience performing system recoveries for other companies, WTS will provide the highest level of service for any JD Edwards customer who requires a Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity Solution."

This expanded service from WTS can eliminate the costs of duplicating internal systems and will provide solutions for the staffing concerns and geographic risks associated with a regional disaster. WTS' Managed Disaster Recovery services include:

  • Experienced WTS staff to perform the recovery on our customers behalf.
  • Stand-by equipment that meets our customers sizing and configuration requirements.
  • Data storage solutions that ensure data availability at the recovery site.
  • Connectivity options from our customers location to the recovery site

"When a regional disaster occurs, it can be difficult for personnel to commit to executing on a disaster recovery plan," said Ward Quarles, Director of Marketing and Communications for WTS. "During a time of crisis, the decision to attend to business over family is extremely difficult, and one many employers would rather not ask their employees to make. A managed disaster recovery service from WTS offers a lower total cost solution by reducing incremental capital expenditures for hardware, eliminating employee travel, and ensuring data availability while allowing our customer's staff to concentrate on other corporate requirements or personal needs created by the crises and associated service interruption."

WTS' Managed Disaster Recovery service is architected to meet the business continuity and compliance requirements of all customers. With this managed service, WTS will execute the disaster recovery plan of our JD Edwards customers while their IT department focuses on other corporate responsibilities. This ensures the recovery process is started on time and capable of meeting our customers up-time requirements including their Recovery Time (RTO) and Recovery Point (RPO) Objectives.

WTS customers experience greater benefit and value from their JD Edwards software by leveraging WTS' expertly managed IT infrastructure and years of experience in applications management—allowing them to focus on the company’s core business. WTS’ leadership position can be attributed to its focus on customer satisfaction and its commitment to delivering exceptional services to companies running Oracle’s JD Edwards applications.
