RICK ALLEN NAMED TO WORLD TECHNOLOGY SERVICES BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Seattle, Washington, January 7, 2002 - World Technology Services Inc. (WTS), the first application service provider (ASP) partner for J.D. Edwards’ collaborative commerce solutions, announced today that Rick Allen, executive vice president and CFO for J.D. Edwards, will be added to the WTS board of directors.

"Rick has done an outstanding job of providing leadership for J.D. Edwards, and has been instrumental in helping J.D. Prior to joining J.D. Edwards in 1985, Allen was the controller for Denver-based Luff Exploration Company (1982 to 1985) and a senior accountant with Coopers & Lybrand from 1979 to 1982. From 1985 to 1990, he served as J.D. Edwards' controller. Allen has been a member of the J.D. Edwards’ board of directors since September 1991. Allen holds a BS degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Colorado State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Executives Institute, and the Denver Metro Network.
