WTS Austria is part of the international WTS Global tax advisor network, which - at tax consultancy level - is the world's largest network. As economic life not only depends on fiscal influences, but a globalised economy also demands the appropriate conditions, we have decided to support and promote an art project as a sponsor.
Christian Ide Hintze passed away in 2012; his dazzling career is documented in specialist media. Among other things, he became known as the founder and director of the School of Poetry in artistic and literary circles (in Vienna, the square in front of the office of the School of Poetry will be renamed as Ide Square).
Ide's association with music is less well known. Following his last wish, we co-financed the production of an Ide CD, because Ide was inspired by the concept of a common identity despite different languages, and also adhered to the peace-making idea of comprehensive understanding among nations. Two titles on this CD are worthy of mention: the "Link Love" song features the rendering of the word "love" in numerous world languages. In terms of our WTS Global network, this artistic concept appealed and left an impression on us; WTS Global is after all the largest tax advisor network in the world, with partners in over 100 countries.
The situation is similar with his "Peace Waltz", which he composed in the light of the second Iraq war. To this end, he painstakingly interviewed hundreds of passers-by in the pedestrian zones of Vienna and asked them for words of peace in their respective national language. As mutual understanding and respect for one other form the cornerstones of human coexistence and economic development, we have gladly supported this project.
